After fiddling with a bunch of settings and realizing my Gsync wasnt enabled, disabling Vsync in Civ and enabling XMP for RAM the freezing stopped and now its just straight crash to desktop with no error or log. Fix: Sid Meiers Civilization VI Keeps Crashing on Startup on PC 1. Is the game refusing to run properly for me because I do not have the DLC? All my tests have been in DX12 but I did originally have that whole PC freeze thing. I am running the base game with all DLC and expansions. Not sure what else there is to be done, but this has been going on since the first DLC for Gathering Storm came out. So far I've checked my graphics driver updates and verified game files on Steam. My games in solo multiplayer mode last a bit longer, and actual multiplayer games have no issues but I like marathon speed and that's not really great for group play X_X No indication that it is not working as intended, and when I make a second desktop it works fine. Tried running DirectX12 instead, which has the benefit of just making the application freeze my computer rather than closing unexpectedly. No warning, the application just ends and leaves me looking at my empty desktop.
